[1] [[P3P]] の仕様書で構文を記述するために使用されている [DFN[[[ABNF]]]]
は、 [[RFC 2234]] の ABNF の変種です。

* 構文

[3] 基本的には ABNF と同じですが、 RFC 2234 への参照ではなく、
附属書で規定されています。 (使用していない構文は省略されています。) 
RFC 2234 との違いは次の通りです。

:[[表記]][[引用文字列]]の引用符:RFC 2234 と同じ [CODE(ABNF)["]]
の他、 [CODE(ABNF)[']] が使えます。明記されていませんが、
仕様書本文中で [CODE(ABNF)[`]] も使われています。
([CODE(ABNF)[`]] が使われているのは、主として [CODE(char)["]]
が内容に含まれるところのようです。)
やはり明記されていませんが、大文字・小文字の区別は仕様書本文の規定によります。
:[[注釈]]の分離子:RFC 2234 の [CODE(ABNF)[;]] から行末までの注釈の他、
[[C]] 風の [CODE(ABNF)[/*]]〜[CODE(ABNF)[*/]] の注釈が使えます。
:[Q[または]]記号:明記されていませんが、 RFC 2234 の [CODE(ABNF)[/]] ではなく、
[[HTTP]] や [[XML]] と同じ [CODE(ABNF)[|]] が使われています。
